Obituary
ATTARD. On March 5, JOSEPH, renowned author, aged 86, formerly of Vittoriosa, passed away peacefully at his home in Sliema. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Adelina, née Stafrace, his children Monica and her husband Costantino, Mariella and her husband Lawrence, and Christopher and his wife Josette, his grandchildren Gabriella, Claudine, Stephanie, Rachel and Christiana, their spouses and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Gregory parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
AZZOPARDI. Suddenly, on March 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, NAZJU of Rabat, aged 84, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his nieces and nephews, Lina, Tony and Vince Spiteri, Mariella Fabri, Ronald and Franco Azzopardi, and Maryanne Fenech Azzopardi, their respective spouses, his sisters-in-law Josephine and Rose, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. for Ta’ Ġieżu church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
BORG. On March 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, aged 73, widow of Anthony, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to her sad loss her children Mario and his wife Grace, David, Peter, Rose and her husband Joe, Lilian and Mary Grace, her sister Annie and her husband Andrew, her brothers Joseph and his wife Lela, Freddie and his wife Julia, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei hospital tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. for St Dominic church in Valletta where Mass presente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at St Lawrence Cemetery, Vittoriosa. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
GAUCI. On March 5, in Rome, VIRGINIA, née Golisciano, aged 55, passed away peacefully after a long illness. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Adrian (yai yai), her son Bu, her mother Maria, her brother Pasquale and sister Maria Pia, in-laws, nephews and nieces in Italy. She is also mourned by her in-laws in Malta and Canada, Ann, George, Therese, Rita and Louis and their spouses, nephews and nieces, family and friends. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SCERRI. On March 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, formerly of Marsa, residing at Siġġiewi, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her children Noel, Monya and her husband Mario Vassallo, her nephew Joseph, her brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3.30 p.m. for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m., followed by interment at Siġġiewi cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SELVAGGI – PIETRO. Passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, on February 16, in Busano, Turin, Italy. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children, his dear brother, sisters, cousins, in-laws, relatives and many friends. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated tomorrow at 7 p.m. at St Patrick church, Sliema.

Epilepsy Association talk
The Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association will be holding its bi-monthly meeting at the Caritas Building, 5, Lion Street, Floriana on Friday at 6 p.m. A talk will be delivered by Sandro Fabri, a senior technician in cardiac physiology and neurophysiology with 24 years hospital experience.
