Two members of the Maltese Diabetes Association, Maryanne Zammit Mckeon and Chris Delicata, participated in the International Diabetes Federation Annual Assembly 2004 held in Slovenia.
The international assembly was attended by association members from all over Europe. It focused on various topics, including diabetes in general as well as recent developments and updates in the field of research.
The Maltese association's participation was made possible through a sponsorship by Middlesea Valletta Life.
Presenting the sponsorship cheque to the association's vice-president, Mr Delicata, Mark Camilleri, Middlesea Valletta Life's assistant general manager said: "We are proud to be associated with the Maltese Diabetes Association and are pleased to be in a position to support its participation at this international conference. We are well aware of the important role it plays and we encourage its members to continue with their valid contribution to Maltese health care".
