As we have done annually these past few years, our group is once again sending a 40-foot container to Jalpatagua, Guatemala, to help Fr Joe Camilleri alleviate the misery of his parishioners and to help him fulfill the many projects he has embarked upon to raise their standard of living.

All this is made possible because of the generous response of all The Times readers, especially the importers, some of whom have donated regularly every year to help make this venture a success.

Consequently, we are appealing once again to importers, retailers and members of the general public for donations of preserved food, baby milk, toiletries, medicinals, stationery, typewriters, sewing-machines, new mattresses, wood, all types of tools (carpenters', farmers' and builders') and non-battery operated toys.

All those wishing to help can either contact Anthony Attard, mayor of Xaghra on tel. 21 552779 or the undersigned on tel. 21 441776.

Those wishing to help financially can send a cheque, addressed to Fr Joe Camilleri himself, to his sister Agnese Camilleri at 28, St Zachary Street, Xewkija.
