Anonymous posters were pasted on the facades of various Nationalist Party clubs overnight saying: 'We need a leader who does not embarrass us'.

They were an obvious reference to PN leader Adrian Delia, who is facing increasing pressure to resign.

In the wake of the European Parliament elections, notices had also been fixed to PN clubs saying: 'We deserve better'.

Wednesday's posters, printed under the old masthead of the PN newspaper, showed up on clubs as far apart as Safi, Birkirkara, Gzira, Zebbuġ and Zurrieq.
