American President Lines (APL), a fully owned subsidiary of Neptune Orient Line (NOL), which has recently celebrated its first anniversary of transshipment operations at Malta Freeport, has announced that it will now start offering its services to the business community in Malta.

APL is a leading global shipping line, currently ranked number five in the world with an annual capacity of over 1.5 million containers. Its extensive range of services cover all major trade routes, providing customers around the world with container transportation services.

APL is including Malta in this network and with immediate effect can offer weekly sailings to and from the United Kingdom/North West Continent, the Far East and the United States.

APL, under its previous name NOL, was active and well received in the local market from 1996 to 1998 when it formed part of the grand alliance.
