Joseph Muscat has not managed to bring real change to his party. Like his predecessor Alfred Sant, Dr Muscat has chosen to promise everything to everyone, while ensuring that the necessary loopholes are in place to abdicate from those same promises.

The divorce issue is one such example.

Dr Muscat has promised to introduce a Bill on divorce and give Labour MPs a free vote if elected to power.

Isn't this the same promise Dr Sant made?

And when his MPs reject divorce, will he expect the public to applaud him for having "tried his best"?

This is not leadership. It's just more of the same.
