Apostolic nuncio celebrates his farewell mass at Ta’ Pinu shrine

Mgr Savio Hon Tai-Fai also met Gozo Bishop Anton Teuma and priests of the diocese at Villa Fiorita, Marsalforn

The Apostolic Nuncio to Malta, Archbishop Savio Hon Tai-Fai, paid his final visit to Gozo last Saturday, ahead of the conclusion of his term as nuncio.

Upon his arrival in Gozo, Mgr Savio visited the shrine of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu, where he was welcomed by the rector and vice rector, Mgr Carmelo Refalo and Mgr Carmelo Gauci respectively.

Accompanied by Chargés d’Affaires Fr Ervin Lengyel, Mgr Savio celebrated a thanksgiving mass, offering gratitude to God for all the blessings he had received during his mission, and entrusting himself once more to Our Lady.

At the sanctuary, Mgr Savio also met with the Sisters serving at the shrine.

Later in the day, Mgr Savio met Gozo Bishop Anton Teuma and Gozo diocese priests at Villa Fiorita in Marsalforn, where he exchanged New Year greetings.
