I feel compelled to express my concerns and disdain at the appalling state of some catacombs/tombs in the Tarġa Gap area (see photo) and those by the Xarolla Windmill in Żurrieq which are also flooded with rain water.

Regrettably, while the government is spending millions of euros to promote Malta as a tourist destination through the Malta Tourism Authority, not enough is being done to safeguard our national historic heritage.
