The Gozo Tourism Association (GTA) has called upon the Gozo Channel to reintroduce the baggage trolley service for ferry passengers.

This service, which was introduced in 2000 was terminated in November last year due to industrial action taken by the Unjoni Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM).

The GTA council feels that both the minister responsible for Gozo Channel and the Minister for Gozo should intervene to quickly solve the problem which may harm tourism.

The association said the UHM's decision, taken in the interest of a few Gozo Channel employees, will have negative consequences on hundreds of employees working in the industry.
