Mother`s Day brings cards, flowers, gifts and all kinds of good wishes that mothers heartily appreciate, especially when given from the heart.

Every year there is also another special feeling at Sacred Heart parish church in Sliema, where the parish priest calls all mothers at the altar to say a prayer.

Furthermore, a little token (which I always keep) is given with such gusto, it brings tears of joy to everyone present.

A big `"thank you" to Fr Joseph for this beautiful gesture. I hope this will remain a parish tradition.
