It was with deep sorrow that my husband and I received the bad news of Nellie Gonzi's demise, on Saturday, February 14. Nellie was a real lady, always elegant, beautiful in heart and appearance. We enjoyed her company as much as she did ours. She suffered a great deal after the fatal accident of her husband and son-in-law. Her daughter, Elvira, caressed and took great care of her with love and devotion. We shall miss her company, during our Saturday lunches in Marsaxlokk together with M'Ann and Frans. I used to enjoy listening to her chatting about her times during the war, or giving me some Italian recipe.

Nellie, we shall miss you, but I know you are with God and the angels in Heaven praying for your dear daughter and family. May you rest in peace and please pray for us too.
