Archbishop convalescing after successful surgery - Curia

He will be reducing public engagements for a few weeks

Archbishop Charles Scicluna is convalescing after a successful surgical procedure, the Curia said on Wednesday.

Following some days in hospital, he will begin a period of rehabilitation as part of his recovery. He will be reducing his public engagements in the coming weeks to allow for proper rest and recuperation.

The Curia said Mgr Scicluna had expressed his heartfelt thanks to all those who wished him well and remembered him in their prayers.

It asked for the archbishop’s privacy to be respected during this period.
