Chinese painter Na Yu An yesterday donated a large painting to the Zurrieq council, which intends to exhibit it in a museum to be opened in the house where Italian painter Mattia Preti used to live and paint.

The donation follows a request by Reno Calleja, president of the Malta China Friendship Society, who is a personal friend of the artist.

An exhibition of 40 paintings by the artist is open at Hili's Art Gallery, Sta Venera.
