An Art Week was recently held at St Ignatius College boys' secondary school, Ħandaq, during which the artistic talents of students and staff members were exhibited.

During the week-long exhibition, students and staff had the opportunity to admire several works of art, and also had hands-on experiences and lectures from expert guest artists in the art of ceramics, printing, drawing and painting, and sculpture, including School of Art head Joe Micallef, Joseph Casha, Alfred Caruana Ruggier and Lino Borg.

The works were varied, ranging from drawings in graphite, pen and ink, chalk and charcoal to paintings in watercolour, acrylics and oils; from ceramics to photography and crafts, which included ganutill, tapestries, folk art, and plaster figurines.

The event was supported by Education Officer for Art, Sina Micallef.
