A spring exhibition of works by Kenneth Zammit Tabona, Celia Borg Cardona, Ray Azzopardi, Anna Galea and Ben Borg Cardona opens on Thursday in Muska, Main Street, Balzan.

Mr Azzopardi is a sculptor whose medium is wood. His pieces are tactile and smooth with the features of his subjects highlighted by the grain of the wood.

Mr Zammit Tabona's watercolours present a Gattopardo-style Malta of days gone by.

Ms Galea's flower paintings are her newest ones.

Ms Borg Cardona is one of the latest names on the art scene. Her latest paintings are influenced by Mother nature and her migratory birds are particularly interesting.

Mr Borg Cardona, a photographer, has a particular interest in nature as well. His flower shots juxtaposed with Ms Galea's expanses of flowers and Ms Borg Cardona's hoopoe present a fresh glimpse of spring.

Marina Mifsud, owner of the gallery and who brought the artists together, said: "Just looking at their pieces lifts the spirit; their work is positive and bright".
