The new Audi A4 Cabriolet is a modern classic car with an elegant and sporty look, Continental Cars Ltd managing director Maurice Mizzi said during its local launch yesterday.
Speaking in the lavish surroundings of his home in Bidnija, Mr Mizzi said: "Audi's main objective was to create a passive safety concept that is on a par with the A4 saloon."
An active roll-over protection system provides additional safety in case the car overturns while it is 'topless'.
The standard Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with hydraulic brake assistance also provides maximum safety.
Occupants in the Audi will be treated to a high-class ride, in terms of safety, space and manoeuvrability.
The Audi, which is extremely solid, is a great performer on all types of road.
Engine-wise, there is a choice of two powerful V6 engines - the 220bhp 3.0-litre with aluminium engine block and continuous camshaft adjustment or the 2.4-litre version boosted to 170 bhp.
Both engines in combination with each driveline version comply with the strict limits prescribed by the EU4 emission standard.
All Audi models come with a two-year warranty on both the engine and its mechanical parts.
Prices range from Lm24,350 to around Lm30,000, depending on the purchaser's choice of extras and engine.
