Heritage Malta will be holding an early morning visit to the Mnajdra Temples for the autumn equinox next Tuesday. On that day the rays of the rising sun pass directly through the main doorway, straight down the central axis, and reach the innermost, central apse. This phenomenon can also be seen during the spring equinox. This will be the first equinox since the temple was covered with the reversible structure meant to protect it from the elements.
