The Maltese Islands Scrabble Club has launched its Autumn Tournament at its base, the St Aloysius Sports Complex, Birkir-kara.

The group of participants playing on Mondays and Thursdays, include Peter Elbourne, Mario Saliba and Sammy Mangion - all former Malta champions.

The second group of participants playing on Thursdays only, include a number of beginners alongside others with years of experience.
