Award-winning HSBC branches

HSBC's Mellieha and Victoria branches have won the bank's Branch of the Quarter Customer Service Awards.

Mosta won the Area of the Quarter Award for the fourth consecutive time while HSBC Fund Management received the Department Customer service awards for the second quarter of 2003.

The branch and area awards, which are divided to differentiate between branches which are located in very densely populated towns or commercial areas and others located in much smaller villages, are based on feedback from customers.

The best department award is based on feedback from HSBC employees nominating the departments, which offer them best assistance and service internally.

HSBC's chief operating officer, Martin Wilkins, the bank's head of personal banking, Ray Briffa and senior communications manager Marco Grech presented the awards.

Cash prizes were presented to the respective managers, Ann Demarco, HSBC's Mellieha branch manager; Richard Mercieca, HSBC's Gozo area manager; Ray Borg, HSBC's Mosta area manager and Joseph D. Camilleri, Director of HSBC Fund Management. The employees of the winning departments can use the award to organise any social event they choose.
