B-day marathon celebration at Bay Street

Bay Street Complex has just celebrated a healthy fifth anniversary with a three-day series of activities to mark B-Day, reaching their climax with the cake cutting ceremony and the lighting of the enormous Bay Street Christmas tree.

Bay Street's CEO James Davis thanked all those involved in making the B-day weekend such a success. In effect, crowds packed the Bay Street Complex to watch and participate in the many activities held throughout the weekend between November 25 and 27.

These included a fund-raising campaign in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Fund.

B-day activities saw the participation of foreign and local artistes including Aldo Busuttil, whose palm print was immortalised in cement as the most recent star to join Celebrity Street.

Performances by the spectacular Slav entertainers featuring impressive fire jugglers and fire-eaters, costumed fencers and musketeers as well as belly dancers were held during the weekend as well as a number of fun events for adults and children alike.

Other big-name guests during the B-day weekend included the charismatic J. Anvil, Eleanor Cassar, Fabrizio Faniello and Ira Losco, who brought the celebrations to a triumphant end on Sunday evening.
