ProMużika Ensemble will be presenting a violin, viola and cello recital at the mediaeval church of Santa Marija of Bir Miftuħ on Friday as part of the 13th Bir Miftuħ International Music Festival organised by Din l-Art Ħelwa.

The two main works to be performed during the evening are Bach's Art of the Fugue and the String Trio in E flat Major by Mozart.

The ProMużika Ensemble is composed of Nemania Ljubinkovic on the violin, Sarah Spiteri, on the viola, and Rahia Angela Awalom on the cello. Formed in 2004, it is one of Malta's leading chamber ensembles, which aims at holding performances in historical venues thus combining the promotion of music with Maltese cultural heritage.

The concert starts at 8 p.m. and was made possible with the support of the Embassy of Germany.

Tickets for the concert cost €20 per person, including refreshments after the performance in the church's open-air precincts. Funds raised during the Bir Miftuħ Music Festival are in aid of the Din l-Art Ħelwa restoration programmes.
