A gym instructor was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €10,000 after pleading not guilty to the armed robbery of €6,400 at a Cospicua gaming parlour.

Marflene Cricchiola, 28, of Cospicua was charged with a single-handed hold-up at Best Play on February 11. He was also charged with relapsing and breaching various court sentences.

Lawyers Franco Debono and Angie Muscat requested bail, saying that while the police investigated the robbery, their client was always released on bail.

Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona upheld the request. Police Inspectors Saviour Baldacchino and Josric Mifsud prosecuted.
