The classic yacht cruising race called the Bailiff of Suffren which begins in Saint Tropez in France and ends in Malta will be hosted by the Malta Tourism Authority.

This competition is for traditional yachts in the vintage, classic and spirit of tradition categories. It covers 530 nautical miles and will be held between June 25 and July 5. The race links yachting with Maltese art and culture, thus helping to boost Malta's image in the south of France, particularly Saint Tropez, the MTA said.

Various events coinciding with this fourth edition of the race promoting Malta have been held in Saint Tropez.

The winner will be presented with the Sabre of Honour of the Bailiff of Suffren as well as a Vacheron Constantin chronometer.
