Saviour Muscat, manager of Bank of Valletta's branch in Gozo, is the BOV Branch Manager of the Year 2002 and Anna Maria Rossi, personal relationship officer at the bank's Balluta branch, is BOV's Employee of the Year 2002.

Bank chairman Joseph Zahra presented the awards at the annual BOV managers' conference.

This was the first year that BOV gave the Employee of the Year Award and Ms Rossi was chosen from among 25 nominees. Her selection was made by means of a vote taken by branch managers.

Mr Muscat was chosen on the basis of his and the Gozo branch team's contribution to the bank in terms of overall results, customer orientation and commitment towards BOV's strategic initiatives, among others.

The winners were each given a glass, handmade trophy in recognition of their achievements. They were also presented with a symbolic shield which has been engraved with their names and which they keep for one year.
