Bank of Valletta employee Simon Xuereb has won the bank's award for the best suggestion for the first quarter of this year.

Another employee, Dominic Ellul, won the award for the highest number of accepted suggestions in the same period.

The aim behind Bank of Valletta's staff suggestion scheme is to encourage staff to come up with innovative ways to enhance customer service and make it more straightforward and efficient.

Igino Xuereb, the bank's chief officer operations, presented the awards to Mr Xuereb and Mr Ellul.

Over 300 suggestions were received from the bank's staff in the three-month period under review. Such a high participation rate underlines strong employee commitment and dedication towards the growth and development of the bank, Mr Xuereb said.
