HSBC employees yesterday swapped their suits for a sports kit to take part in a triathlon that saw them braving a route from Gozo to Malta in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

Starting in Għarb, the employees ran to Mġarr, Gozo, from where they swam the five-kilometre channel to Ċirkewwa and then cycled and finally walked to San Anton Palace, where they were greeted by President George Abela. “HSBC is wholly committed to making a difference in the community,” said chief technology and services officer Sally Robson.

“The HSBC triathlon is an excellent opportunity to bring together many of our staff and their families from across the HSBC Malta network to work as a team together to raise funds for the Malta Community Chest Fund.”
