Bank support for Valletta's main shopping venue

Bank of Valletta is again this year supporting the Republic Street Business Community Association's Christmas festivities in Valletta main shopping venue.

Joseph Brincat, executive head of Bank of Valletta's branch and business centre in Republic Street, presented the sponsorship to Victor Fenech Azzopardi, president of the Republic Street Business Community Association.

Mr Brincat said the bank regularly supported the Republic Street Business Community Association in its efforts to make Republic Street one of the most attractive shopping venues in the Christmas season. "Indeed, our sponsorship not only supports the business community. It also helps make a visit to Republic Street a most pleasant experience for all Maltese and tourists who enter our capital city during the festive season," Mr Brincat said.

Mr Fenech Azzopardi said his association has this year decorated Republic Street with a new set of Christmas lighting and decorations. It has also prepared a full programme of activities to attract shoppers to this popular shopping venue. This will include various competitions together with animation by the association's animation team.
