Maltese driver Keith Camilleri (Malta Formula Racing) delivered a battling third race in the Italian F4 series this afternoon on the Imola racetrack in Italy.
He managed to move from ninth to fifth in the first lap, then dropped to sixth where he battled for several laps against fifth-placed Russo, with both going into the gravel at one time.
Camilleri managed to keep the car together but rejoined at seventh. Russo retired.
Camilleri then had an incident with sixth-place Valente, who crossed into his racing line. Camilleri suffered front wing damage but stayed in the race, now in eighth.
By lap 12, however, he was in tenth place after an avoidable minor contact. He was then black flagged and had to retire because of the damage to his car.
Lance Stroll, a member of the Ferrari drivers' academy, won the race.
Camilleri came in fifth in the first race yesterday and withdrew in the second race this morning because of a small first lap incident. 22 cars participated in the races.
The next set of three races is on July 13 in Mugello, the Ferrari-owned track.
