Beauty and the Beast to be staged in April

Disney's award-winning musical, Beauty and the Beast, will soon be staged in Malta for the first time, after wowing over 25 million people across the globe in its first five years of an international tour.

This large-scale production takes five articulated container-loads to carry from theatre to theatre and features a company of over 60 actors, musicians and crew.

The production has received rave reviews in all locations where the performance was staged since 2005 and brings to life the well-known and loved characters made famous by the Disney cartoon.

Locally, the show will be opened by a Gala Premiere on April 11. More shows will be staged on April 12 and 13, with two shows being performed on each day at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

Tickets will go on sale on March 1 and can be bought for €25, €45, €55, €65 and €75, while tickets for the Gala Premier can be bought separately, at a higher price.
