France's Junior Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Benoist Apparu (centre) visited the house of French architecture school of Grenoble at the Solar Decathlon Europe (SDE) 2011 in Madrid last Monday. Students representing 17 universities from around world began a 10-day competition in Madrid to design and build the best house run only by solar energy. The SDE competition, which brought together student architects and engineers, will conclude today with the jury naming three winners.
