The last paragraph of the editorial The Right To Know, of January 22, goes beyond the limits of reason and has crossed the lines of journalistic decency.
It seems that whoever wrote this editorial was not satisfied with Alfred Sant's own detailed account of his condition given during the press conference of January 14. Neither was the author's morbid curiosity satisfied by the detailed explanations given by the medical consultants present about the nature of his prescribed medication. No, the writer now wants to delve even deeper, this time also into the question of possible psychological effects. Such shameful lack of decency in the name of public interest is disgusting to say the least. Since when do we have the right to question the psychological state of persons be they private or public?
Is this a new disgraceful way to get at Dr Sant in the coming election campaign?
