The Malta Billiards and Snooker Association (MBSA) has just finalised its calendar of competitions for the coming season.

The Premier Division, First Division and U-18 championships are scheduled to start on November 28 and the first tournament for Second Division players is planned for January 4.

Between December 5 and 16, local players will test their early-season form in the opening ranking tournament of the 2005/06 season. The teams championship starts in February.

In a brief statement, the MBSA also announced that a snooker team will take part in the European Teams Championships.

This tournament will be played in Carlow, Ireland, between March 13 and 18.

Malta will also be represented in next April's U-19 European Snooker Championships in Bucharest, Romania, and the European Championships in Zofingen, Switzerland, between May 30 and June 10.
