Running on the Libertas' ticket, Mary Gauci's work experience includes that of a principal in the Finance Directorate for EU Affairs. She also worked as Gozo's coordinator for Sedqa, the antidrug national agency. Ms Gauci was also involved as a member on the Board of Directors at Catholic Action and at the Family Commission at the Gozo Curia.

She is a graduate in Sociology and Philosophy and holds a Masters degree in International environment and international relations.

She has worked as producer and presenter for Public Broadcasting Service, promoting services at Sedqa, Cana Movement, Caritas, Centru Hidma Socjali and the Secretariat for Family Affairs when Hon. Giovanna Debono was Parliamentary Secretary.

Ms Gauci was leader of the Gozo PL Female Section when Hon. Anton Refalo was Parliamentary Secretary.
