The mediaeval chapel of Santa Marija at Bir Miftuh will provide the setting for the ninth edition of the Bir Miftuh International Music Festival, which includes a cello concert by Jonathan Byers being held on May 21 and a concert of mediaeval music by the French ensemble Xeremia taking place on May 28.
The opening event will be a piano and flute concert, kicking off on May 14, featuring a world première composition by Charles Camilleri written specially for the festival.
The last concert in the cycle, will be an oboe, clarinet and bassoon concert by the Trio Rosso on June 5.
Tickets are priced at Lm7.50 per person, with all concerts starting at 8 p.m. All funds raised will be dedicated to Din l-Art Helwa's restoration work.
