The annual Cage and Aviary Birds Exhibition, which is marking its 25th anniversary, is being held at the Powerhouse Hall, Valletta Waterfront, until Sunday.

Over 1,327 birds, in five different classes, are being exhibited by 98 breeders. These include coloured canaries, judged by Stephen Ciappara; type canaries, judged by Dutch Case Maandag; the parrot-like section judged by John Mifsud; and the foreign and the European finches judged by the Italian Peron Guerini.

The exhibition, organised by the Bird Breeders Association, is open today from 5 - 9 p.m.; tomorrow between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and from 4 to 10 p.m. and on Sunday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
