Birkirkara 5, Hibs 4

Birkirkara defeated Hibernians by the odd goal in nine in a thriller at Ta'Qali which enabled them to maintain their four-point lead at the top of the premier league this afternoon.

Michael Galea opened the scoring for Birkirkara after 10 minutes, but 20 minutes of mayhem then followed for Birkirkara, with goals for Hibs by Jean Paul Farrugia, Triston Caruana, Edward Herrera and Trison Caruana again, between the 14th and 35th minutes.

Comvalius and Shaun Bajada managed to score and give hope to Birkirkara before the break.

Michael Galea equalised in the 54th minute and Trevor Cilia scored the all important goal in the 64th minute.
