The Bishop of Gozo, Mgr Nikol Cauchi, today marks his 75th birthday with a Mass at the Good Shepherd Pastoral Centre in Victoria at 6 p.m.

Priests and religious from Gozo are invited to attend.

The Pro Sanctate movement is also holding a day of prayer for the bishop.

Mgr Cauchi, who was made bishop in 1967, last week announced that he had offered his resignation to the Pope in line with the provisions of Canon law.
