Birżebbuġa coast reopened for bathers following sewage outflow

Legal action was started against the person responsible

Birżebbuġa's Dawret il-Qalb Imqaddsa has been reopened for bathers after it was closed last week following sewage outflow traced to private residences in Triq it-Tankijiet.

Last week, the Environmental Health Directorate urged people not to swim in the area. An abatement notice was issued, and legal action has been initiated against the owner.

On Monday, the directorate said the health warning was being lifted following repeated sampling of seawater from the bathing site.
