A record-breaking blizzard that slammed the northeastern United States has moved into Atlantic Canada.
The storm brought whiteout conditions to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
Stretching from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Coast, the mammoth stormed dumped more than three feet of snow in places, cutting power to at least 700,000 homes and businesses in North America.
At least half a dozen deaths were also attributed to the blizzard.
Meteorologists said the storm was expected to dissipate as it moved from west to east.
