Block tickets for exhibition events

This week will be the only chance to acquire block tickets for three popular events lined up for the Caraffa Stores in Vittoriosa as part of the Caravaggio exhibition.

These are Emanuele Segre with his solo classical guitar recital on Friday; jazz piano soloist Mike Del Ferro on June 18 and Puerto Flamenco on June 19 and 20.

Mr Segre, an internationally acclaimed guitarist, has performed with some of the leading orchestras in the world.

His performance, From Italy to Malta - The Caravaggio Connection, includes music by different Italian, Maltese and Spanish composers.

A pianist, composer and arranger, Mr del Ferro will play jazz standards and original compositions, some from his latest album New Belcanto Opera Meet Jazz.

Maltese-born Flamenco dancer Francesca Grima and Andrej Vujicic, cajon player, have spent years working with the two Trianeros, singer Jose "El Tremendo" and gypsy guitarist Joselito Acedo.

For the first time in Malta, in the surroundings of the enchanting port of Vittoriosa, the four get together for a voice, guitar, dance and percussion session, the essential letters of flamenco. Tickets are available from St James Cavalier, Valletta, tel. 2122 3216 or boxoffice@sjcav.org.
