Body found at sea in Fomm ir-Riħ
It was in an advanced state of decomposition
A corpse was recovered from the sea in the area of Fomm ir-Riħ on Wednesday.
In a statement, the police said the body was first spotted at around 3.30pm, and with the assistance of an Armed Forces of Malta patrol boat, the body was recovered from the sea and taken to Marfa.
The body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia was informed of the case and has appointed a magisterial inquiry, while police investigations are ongoing.
