Gilbert Zammit and Lorry Gaffarena were named February's best performers at Bertu's Gym. 90kg bodybuilder Zammit started competing in 1996 when he topped a posedown in Gharghur. He competed in various national championships, winning the Novice Class in 1997 and finishing third overall. He was MABA Mr Malta in 2001 and represented the country in the Amateur Mr World in Prague (1997) and Burma (2001). Gaffarena took up the sport 18 years ago but only started competing at the age of 50 and won the Over 40 MABA competition, besides a third placing in the Novices.
