Alex Borg is only one win away from his first ever appearance in the final stages of the UK Championship. Yesterday he beat England's Brian Morgan 9-6 in the second qualifying round.

Borg was in top form at Prestatyn. He played some solid snooker to end the opening session 5-3 ahead. Morgan came back strongly in the afternoon to level the match at six-all.

But the Malta champion maintained his composure to win the next three frames and set up a third qualifying round clash against Ricky Walden tomorrow.

Tony Drago will also be in action tomorrow. He faces Mark Allen who beat James Tatton 9-5 yesterday.

The UK Championship starts on December 5 at the Barbican Centre in York.
