Alex Borg's participation in the IBSF World Championships came to an end yesterday when he conceded a 5-2 defeat to China's Jin Long in the last-16 stage.

The first session ended two-all with Borg clinching the second and fourth frame, 82-34 and 60-54, after Long had twice taken a one-frame lead, 70-24 and 72-45.

However, Long quickly wrapped up his victory by winning the next three frames - 62-54, 83-23 and 65-10 to secure a place in the quarter-finals.
