Saviour Muscat, manager of Gozo's Bank of Valletta branch is the BOV Branch Manager of the Year 2002 and Anna Maria Rossi, personal relationship officer at Balluta branch, is BoV's Employee of the Year 2002.

Bank chairman Joseph F.X. Zahra presented the awards during the annual BoV managers' conference. This was the first year that the bank presented the Employee of the Year Award and Ms Rossi was chosen from among 25 nominations.

Mr Muscat was chosen Branch Manager of the Year on the basis of his and the Gozo branch team's contribution to the bank in terms of overall results, customer orientation and commitment towards BoV's strategic initiatives among others. Ms Rossi was chosen by means of a vote taken by branch managers.

The winners were each given a glass, handmade trophy in recognition of their achievements. They were also presented with a symbolic shield which has been engraved with their names and which they keep for one year.
