Boy, 12, seriously injured in e-scooter crash with bus
Saturday saw two separate accidents where two individuals were taken to hospital
Two people were injured in two seperate traffic accidents on Saturday, one involving a 12-year-old boy suffering from serious injuries after being involved in an accident while riding an e-scooter.
The accident occurred at 7.30 pm in Triq Sant' Anna in Floriana, with initial police investigations indicating the 12-year-old was involved in an accident between an Otokar Vectio bus, driven by a 34-year-old Indian, who is a Msida resident.
The first accident occurred earlier, at 4.00 pm, when a collision between a Toyota Vitz driven by a 50-year-old woman from Safi and a Junak motorcycle driven by a 69-year-old man from Żabbar.
Medical assistance teams were sent to both accidents, where the motorcyclist and the child were taken to the hospital by ambulance, where they were certified to be seriously injured.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
