Breast Awareness Week, spearheaded by the Health Promotion Department and the Breast Care Support Group, will be held between today and next Friday.

The aim is to raise awareness of the illness and encourage women to take better care of themselves.

Among other activities, the department is organising a promenade walk at Sliema today at 6 p.m.

It has also published a poster that encourages women to be more knowledgeable about what they can do to help themselves and a leaflet answering women's questions on breast care.
