Two brothers will be spending the next six months in prison after admitting to trafficking in cocaine from a gaming outlet in Qormi on Sunday.

Daniel Mizzi, 28, was jailed on Tuesday and his brother, Justin, 24, was arraigned and jailed yesterday after admitting to the same charges.

The police went to investigate after neighbours complained about excessive noise coming from the gaming parlour. The suspicious behaviour of some people led the officers to make a drugs bust.

Before handing down sentence, Magistrate Edwina Grima took into consideration the fact that Mr Mizzi is still young, had a clean police record and filed a guilty plea in an early stage of the proceedings.

Lawyer Gianella Caruana Curran appeared for Mr Mizzi.
