Two Cospicua brothers were yesterday each jailed for six months for breaking into a woman's car and stealing her handbag last year.

Mario Farrugia, 37, and his brother Martin, 39, pleaded guilty to breaking into Rita Farrugia's car and stealing her handbag and causing over Lm10 damage to the car in Zabbar on October 13, 2002, at about 10.30 a.m.

They also admitted committing a crime during the operative time of a suspended jail term. Police Inspector Alfred Attard prosecuted.
