Budget publicity cost €31,622

The publicity for the 2010 Budget cost a total of €31,622, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi told Labour MP Leo Brincat in reply to a parliamentary question. Adverts printed in the local media cost €29,080.42, online banners €1,162 and radio adverts €162.

The publicity for the 2010 Budget cost a total of €31,622, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi told Labour MP Leo Brincat in reply to a parliamentary question.

Adverts printed in the local media cost €29,080.42, online banners €1,162 and radio adverts €162. Another advert was carried by TVM and Radio Malta under the Public Service Obligation.

Dr Gonzi said Lighthouse Communications had been directly selected to coordinate the Budget campaign and spent €18,199.76 on the production of audiovisual adverts for radio and television, online use and printed media. The fund had also been used for the design and coordination of a booklet sent to all households in Malta and Gozo, as well as preparations for connected works, the production of backdrops, pop-up stands and photography, among other items.

Another sum of €1,217.64 was spent on colour adverts in the local media, which had been coordinated by JP Advertising Ltd.
